**Job Role**: Domestic Abuse Family Support Worker

**Salary**:£22,440 - £23,812

**Hours**:37.5 hours per week - including every other weekend

**Contract type**:Permanent

**Location**: Bath

**Additional information**:

- On-call (1 in 4 weeks), £100/week when on-call

**The Role**:The successful Casework Coordinator will have excellent communication skills, a welcoming personality and the ability to adapt to unexpected situations.

**Responsibilities include**:

- To provide practical and emotional support with children and young people and their carers to support recovery from domestic abuse.
- To provide support to parents and carers to develop an understanding of the impact of domestic abuse.
- To advocate for CYP with statutory agencies, particularly schools and in multi-agency forums to represent their needs and work towards improved wellbeing for the family.
- To manage a case load, undertaking support planning, reviews, risk assessments and safety plans and upholding reporting and statistical requirements.
- Track and monitor support delivered and its impact through review and use of outcome tools including In-Form, the Julian House client database.
- To support with and deliver, as required, workshops and training in schools; that includes awareness of domestic abuse and supports early intervention and signposting.

**Qualifications / Requirements**:

- _A very good understanding of domestic abuse, including the impact this has on children and young people_
- _Experience of, or a willingness to learn, to lead and facilitate group work programmes_
- __A valid UK driving license and access to own vehicle - business insurance will be required_

- This is a female-only role

**The Role**
- The successful Casework Coordinator will have excellent communication skills, a welcoming personality and the ability to adapt to unexpected situations. You will be providing comprehensive, holistic needs assessments, support planning for survivors of domestic abuse.

**Responsibilities include**:

- _Complete needs assessment/risk assessment for clients leading to the delivery of full support plans which meet individual client need._
- _Track and monitor support delivered and its impact through review and use of outcome tools._
- _Give clients advice, information and provide an enabling service so that they can access appropriate services._
- _Responsible for ensuring that rent and service charge payments are made and recorded in respect of named clients._
- _Arrange and lead regular house meetings, keeping detailed records of all issues raised by the clients._
- _To prepare rooms for intakes quickly and efficiently, enabling new referrals into the service - this will include task such as clearing and cleaning rooms._
- _Support clients to move into and out of refuge accommodation._
