GP Primary Care - Commissioning Support Officer - Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Integrated Care System (ICS) area

A fixed-term maternity cover opportunity has arisen for a Commissioning Support Officer within the Primary Care (General Practice (GP)) Team, to be based within the Cambridgeshire & Peterborough ICS area. The employer for this role will be NHS England with the post embedded within Cambridgeshire & Peterborough ICS’s primary care team.

You should have previous administrative experience, preferably within an NHS setting. You will have a key role in ensuring that the work of the Commissioning Support hub is managed and monitored. The post requires excellent communication and organisational skills and you will need to work effectively in a close team setting, having the ability to plan and prioritise your own workload and that of the team, working flexibly in response to service needs.

A good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages is essential for this post, along with a strong commitment to teamwork and the flexibility to provide cross cover when required.

Please note that the reason for the fixed term of this contract is Maternity Leave.

As Commissioning Support Officer, the post holder will work as a part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective service supporting managers and staff across East to deliver the direct commissioning of primary care for the Region.

The post holder will act as a relationship manager with a key role in ensuring that the work of the commissioning support hub is monitored and managed effectively at both at discipline specific and across the wider hub.

**In particular the post holder will**:

- Provide high quality project, service, initiative and administrative support including information and analysis.
- Undertake reporting and analysis of information to support delivery
- Be required to communicate complex, sensitive information with a range of staff internally and externally across the organisation.

The post holder is a key member of the team whose overarching goal is to enable, promote and support the effective use of data, information, knowledge and technology to improve, inform and support a portfolio of projects, services, and initiatives.
