**Days and Hours of Work**:Any 5 out of 7 between 06:00 - 22:00 - 37.5 hours per week (to be determined by business needs)

**Number of positions**:1

**Job Purpose**:
Proactively, and within specific timeframes, manage the health and safety at site. Communicating effectively with the site management team and General Manager, ensure a high standard of reporting, auditing, checking and maintenance at site level workingwith the central Health and Safety Teams.

**Key Tasks**:
**Health & Safety**
- To mitigate the risk of Employee liability claims against the Company through the effective use of best practice policy and procedures on site, and investigation techniques.
- Support the Central HSQE Team to maintain any legal compliance required for the site - including accreditations and licences to store food, veterinary medicine and alcohol currently
- Ensure food safety procedures (HACCP / BRC Storage and Distribution), H&S management systems (ISO45001), Environmental management systems (ISO14001), Sustainability compliance (PAS2060) and Quality management systems (ISO9001) are maintained in line withiForce procedures and assist Central HSQE Team to maintain current accreditations

**Operational**
- Ensure full audit is carried out every year in line with current legislation.
- Ensure fire drills are carried out each year to required evacuation standards in line with current legislation
- To organise and chair all site health and safety meetings with nominated safety representatives in order to review safety actions and recommend/ agree appropriate solutions
- To ensure that safety equipment is kept fully maintained and carry our relevant risk assessments in line with current legislation.
- Ensure that team members are treated fairly and consistently in line with site policies and procedures
- To prepare safety reports that are relevant and appropriate for management to present to Insurers/HSE to mitigate claims against the business
- To ensure that SSOW and risk assessments are updated accurately and efficiently

**Communication**
- Escalate all major and minor incidents in line with current escalation procedure
- Ensure that all correspondence, whether electronic or manual, is dealt with efficiently
- Liaise with all internal and external customers and contractors in a professional and appropriate manner
- Update notice boards, team briefs etc. in an accurate and timely manner.
- Conduct internal staff briefings on matters affecting safety
- Confident and positive, able to manage relationships at all levels
- Effective communications with other iForce sites
- Attend site maintenance meetings and update the meeting as appropriate
- Attend scheduled daily team leader operational meetings
- Provide weekly/monthly maintenance reports to the General Manager
- Prepare regular maintenance reports for senior management
