**About the Role**

The Governance Facilitator is a member of the Facility Governance Team and works closely with the Quality and Effectiveness Manager and other members of the governance team to facilitate high standards of governance and compliance and support quality improvementinitiatives.

The post will work closely with the Quality and Effectiveness Manager to ensure effective systems and processes are in place with regard to key indicators of clinical quality, serious incidents, adverse occurrence, complaints, issues of poor clinical performanceand patient safety.

They will help support all departments in ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards and governance and assurance processes and provide the hospital with assurance that governance standards within the hospital are met.

They are a key point of support and advice relating to governance systems, the Facility clinical audit programme, document control of facility-level policies, procedures and guidelines and will provide administrative and project management support to theFacility governance team.

They will need to maintain an awareness of regulatory developments, especially changes to the CQC’s regulatory framework and the regulations of the Health and Social Care Act.

**Skills & Experience**:

- Previous relevant Governance experience within a healthcare setting is essential
- Previous experience of group facilitation and minute taking
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent IT skills
