We are seeking a motivated, client-centric **Accounts Support Assistant** to join a well-established accountancy and business advisory firm based in **Shepperton, Surrey**. This fully office-based role is ideal for individuals who are developing their accounting skills and looking to gain hands-on experience in a supportive environment.
**Position Details**:
- **Hours**: Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
- **Location**: Shepperton, Surrey, with occasional travel to the West Horsley branch
- **Salary**: £30,000 - £34,000 (dependent on experience)
**Important Note on Location & Transport**
While Shepperton is not in a rural area, public transport options are limited. Having a **valid driving licence and access to a car would be highly beneficial** for a more straightforward commute. This is a fully office-based role with occasional travel required to the West Horsley branch.

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Assist with day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including data entry and account reconciliations
- Support the preparation of management accounts and VAT returns
- Help maintain accurate client records, ensuring timely and compliant financial reporting
- Communicate with clients to gather information and address queries under guidance
- Contribute to process improvements and the adoption of new technologies
- **Qualifications**: Studying towards or holding Level 2/3 AAT or equivalent is beneficial but not essential
- **Experience**: Some previous experience in an accounting or bookkeeping environment is advantageous
- **Tech Proficiency**: Familiarity with accounting software (Xero, Sage) and solid MS Excel skills
- **Communication & Organisation**: Excellent communication, organisational abilities, and keen attention to detail
- **Professional Development**: A proactive, growth-oriented mindset, eager to learn and support colleagues
- **Driving Licence**: Having a valid driving licence and access to a car is highly beneficial due to limited public transport options
