Management Accountant
Location - Burnley
Salary - £36,000 DOE
Simpson Judge are working with an award-winning manufacturer, with offices based in Burnley.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintain monthly management accounts
- Update forecasts for businesses in line with business performance
- Ensure that debtors are paid in a timely manner.
- Process payroll in a timely manner.
- Management of the finance processes across the property division
- Production of Annual budgets in association with department heads.
- Coordinate with HMRC as required
- Maintain the chart of accounts.
- Maintain an orderly accounting filing system.
- Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions
- Support department heads as required
- Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management.
- Provide for a system of management cost reports.
- Provide financial analysis as needed, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
Experience/Skills required:
- 1-2 years' experience in a similar role
- Experience with creating financial statements
- Experience with general ledger functions and month end/year end close procedures
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
