Location: Banana HQ, Bury St Edmunds (open to discussions about remote and flexible working)

Reports to: Sales & Marketing Director

**Team Overview**

The Go Ape Sales team creates memorable events for large groups including corporate customers, schools, youth organisations, and others. The team both receive incoming requests and proactively generates leads, creating tailored adventures (including workingwith 3rd party suppliers if required), and work with our 35 UK locations to ensure that our customers receive an amazing experience at each stage of their Go Ape adventure.

**Purpose of the Role/Role Overview**:
This role will see you work with the sales and the wider support teams to translate our overall business objectives into a sales strategy that ultimately delivers target revenue. Acting as a sales champion for the business you will lead the development ofa continuous improvement culture and mindset within the Sales team and support any wider business activity as and when required.

**Working Closely and in partnership with** the Sales & Marketing Director, Sales Team, Operational Support team and Site Managers.

**Job Specification** Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

- work with the Sales & Marketing Director to develop a strategy and business plan that

**delivers the departments revenue goals** and secures **Key Performance Indicators** in line with the business objectives.
- Represent the sales department in key meetings such as the weekly commercial meeting, highlighting performance, feedback and opportunities.
- Work closely with the operations team on optimising performance of the department through capacity at site.
- Work closely with site managers to ensure a open flow of communications again to maximise opportunities through engagement.
- **Monitor and analyse performance** metrics and suggest improvements in real time.
- **Prepare** monthly, quarterly and annual **sales forecasts,**working with the Finance Team to ensure accuracy of reporting
- Overseeing and influencing the activities and performance of the sales team.
- **Coaching** the sales team in all aspects of performance delivery, providing coaching on a one-to-one basis and within the team, to mitigate any underperformance and drive continuous future improvement.
- Developing individuals through motivation, coaching and product knowledge education to create **succession planning** and career development.
- Ensuring all aspects of the **customer sales journe**y is completed effectively.
- Work closely with other departments that have a direct impact on the events team to achieve continuous performance improvement.
- Experience in managing and directing a sales team
- Experience of developing and implementing a sales strategy with proven results
- Excellent communication skills with ability to build rapport across the business
- The ability to coach and nurture a team to get the best results
- CRM knowledge and analysis.
- Ability to recruit, train and build a scalable sales team
- Strong data analysis skills
- Proven ability of coaching and influencing others in a matrix environment to adopt to new practices and experiences.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Dedication to providing great customer service
