Location: Whithorn, Dumfries & Galloway

**Salary**: £17,500 (pro rata if part-time) + potential performance-related bonus

All Roads Lead to Whithorn SCIO is looking for a practical, people-focused Facilities, Gym & Bunkhouse Coordinator to run the day-to-day operations of our newly refurbished community hall, on-site gym and luxury bunkhouse in Whithorn. This role is at the heart of turning a fantastic physical asset into a lively, welcoming hub for local people and visitors.

About the role

You will be responsible for coordinating and delivering smooth daily operations across our facilities, ensuring a high-quality experience for hall users, gym members and bunkhouse guests. This is a **small, hands-on team**, so the role includes both coordination and practical tasks. You will be expected to support “up and down the line”, including helping with bunkhouse changeovers, basic cleaning and laundry when needed.

Working closely with the Charity Manager and a casual Community & Hospitality Support Worker, your main duties will include:

- Daily running of the gym, bunkhouse and hall: opening and closing, routine checks, keeping spaces clean and presentable, monitoring supplies and basic stocks.
- Guest and customer service: handling enquiries and bookings, welcoming and checking in/out bunkhouse guests, supporting hall hirers and gym users, dealing with queries and feedback.
- Health & Safety: implementing procedures, carrying out regular checks and drills under the Manager’s direction, and keeping clear records (e.g. fire, cleaning, inspections).
- Programme and events support: helping to develop and coordinate timetables, supporting classes, meetings and events, and assisting volunteers as needed.
- Supervising the casual Community & Hospitality Support Worker on shift, allocating tasks and checking standards.
- Practical support as part of a small team: assisting with bunkhouse changeovers, basic cleaning and laundry, event setups and takedowns as required.
- Minor maintenance: undertaking basic tasks where appropriate, and promptly reporting more significant issues or repairs to the Manager/contractors.
- Administration: managing bookings and calendars, keeping simple usage records and reports, and posting straightforward updates about facilities or events on social media.

About you

You will bring:

- Experience in a customer-facing, facilities, hospitality, leisure, accommodation or community role.
- Strong practical skills and a willingness to “muck in” with hands-on tasks, including bunkhouse changeovers and laundry.
- Good organisational skills: comfortable juggling bookings, timetables and day-to-day tasks.
- A friendly, calm manner with the public and confidence handling queries and minor issues.
- Reliability and a strong sense of responsibility for safety, standards and presentation.

Experience with basic social media posting and simple record-keeping or admin systems would be useful, for marketing and customer communications.
