**Key Purpose of the Role**
This role’s primary focus is to support the organisation in employee relations management and add further value to the HR Team by positively influencing employee engagement. You will be expected to work closely across a number of locations and departments, increasingly in a consultancy role, assisting line managers to understand their goals and responsibilities in relation to performance management.
**Key Accountabilities**
- Coaching, challenging and assisting Line Managers in the understanding and implementation of policies such as performance management, absence management and disciplinary and grievance.
- Interpreting and advising on employment legislation.
- Proactively encouraging and coaching Line Managers to address absence and performance issues.
- Liaising with a wide range of people involved in policy development such as staff performance and health and safety.
- Completing administration tasks such as meeting notes and procedure outcome letters.
- Working with the HSW Department to ensure Occupational Health cases are managed appropriately and offering Line Managers guidance on addressing complex absence cases.
- Advising on pay and other remuneration issues, including promotion and benefits.
- Promoting equality and diversity as part of the culture of the organisation.
**Experience Desired**
- Experience of working in a similar role, ideally in a past paced industrial setting.
- Educated to at least degree level
- CIPD qualified or willing to work towards a CIPD qualification
- Demonstrable experience of challenging the status quo and making suggestions for improvement
- Excellent IT Literacy with high proficiency in Excel and Database Application or HRIS
- Excellent administration and organisational skills
- A full driving license and access to own car
