We are looking for an experienced procurement officer to join our team to help develop our business.
We are looking for an experienced Procurement Officer, to develop and deliver our procurement strategy by working on supplier performance management and governance, including contract tenders and negotiations.
**About the Role**
The Procurement officer will support the evolution and delivery of the Procurement Strategy. They’ll support First Trust Hospital in procuring NHS contracts; ensuring there is company-wide awareness of required procurement standards and practices to ensure value for money.
They’ll ensure procurement policies and practices are being complied with across our organisation; highlighting any areas of concern and recommending appropriate remedial or escalation action as appropriate whilst supporting in the ongoing development of key supplier relationships and upskilling key stakeholders on procurement policies and procedures as required.
In addition, the role will also include:
- Working with current and potential suppliers on contract tenders and negotiations, ensuring that selection criteria and processes are fair and objective, reflect our values and meet all legislative requirements and that value for money is delivered across all key procurement decisions.
- Providing support in commercial negotiations.
- Supporting the implementation and configuration of procurement technologies.
**About You**
We’re looking for an applicant who has:
- Experience in a corporate procurement role, preferably with experience working with the NHS and/or private healthcare sector.
- A clear understanding of procurement practices, tendering, negotiations, supplier & contract management and governance.
- An experienced commercial negotiator with a proven ability to shape and challenge contracts whilst managing new contracts or contractual changes with suppliers.
- An understanding of, and commitment to, the principles of good governance whilst having the ability to be flexible around the needs of the business.
- High levels of literacy and numeracy with a strong focus on detail and on the collection and analysis of data.
- An excellent communicator, with the ability to build effective working relationships and influence multiple stakeholders at various organisational levels.
**Job Type**: Part-Time (3 days per week), with the possibility of full-time
