**What you’ll be doing**:

- You will be a member of the Indirect Procurement leadership team, and will be responsible for managing the functional activities
- Directly procure and manage or provide bespoke specialist ‘Integrated Project Team’ support to over £500m UK and Rest of the World (ROW) annual Construction, FM, Energy and related spend.
- Develop and implement a Construction, FM & Energy category strategy covering all elements of category management
- Use a wide range of tools to analyse the Construction, FM & Energy category
- Develop strategy to minimize risk, leverage spend, support business initiatives, support sustainability agenda and prepare for future technologies
- Utilising all available communication tools, engage with senior leaders on the status of the Construction, FM & Energy category strategy, specific supplier issues and in particular savings objectives and future savings projections
- Execute sourcing strategy in line with company processes
- Drive a high-performance culture, through focus on measurable objectives and agreed benchmarks
- Influence, coach and develop cross-functional team members and demonstrate inclusive leadership that inspires and promotes BAE Systems values and core behaviours

**Your skills and experiences**:

- Procurement experience having attained MCIPS membership and are working towards FCIPS
- Experience in delivering large scale construction and energy projects
- Thorough knowledge of procurement legislation
- Experience in managing multiple complex procurement projects simultaneously
- Strong leadership skills and experience in the line management of individuals and teams in a procurement and contract management environment
- Must also possess and be able to demonstrate a strong business acumen with relevant market intelligence
- Be able to drive business performance by directing and improving the capability of people, process, and systems
