Who we're looking for

Reporting to the Global Head of Reporting Operations, the role of Head of Reporting Change will have responsibility for leading a centralised change and oversight team. This team has been formed to work as part of the Global Reporting function, whose focus will be on the delivery of our reporting strategy.

The Head of Reporting Change will primarily be focused on the management of

the programme governance framework for activities relating to Reporting globally, holistic change management and change oversight, client and fund on-boarding, reporting change projects, acting as a central SME functional Head with engagement across key internal and external stakeholders across technology and business functions.

The team

This team has been formed to work as part of the Global Reporting function within Operations, whose focus will be on the delivery of our reporting strategy.

What you'll do

Key responsibilities
- Direct management of the Reporting Change & Oversight team, a team of business managers and business analysts, with ultimate accountability for implementing, managing and overseeing operational oversight and governance framework for Reporting Change.
- Matrix management of the Reporting BAU Change Manager, EMEA, who predominately oversees the change requests from the Reporting teams managing the production cycles of Fund, Client, Statutory and data mgmt. teams.
- Build effective working relationships within Product, Investment, Distribution, and Infrastructure functions networking with various teams and management levels across the organisation.
- Participation and management of the Reporting budget
- Provide leadership and oversight on the book of reporting change (both strategic CTB and RTBC)
- Provide leadership and oversight on client on-boarding activities including chairing of governance and review forums (Distribution Control Gate).
- Actively encourage the identification of opportunities for continuous change
- As part of the Global Reporting Management Team, contribute to the development of various group-wide reporting capabilities (continuous improvement) and reporting metrics.
- Act as senior point of escalation and resolution for any ongoing reporting issues, errors and breaches.
- Provide input to risk frameworks for reporting operations and manage senior interactions with Risk, Audit, Compliance and Legal.
- Act as senior stakeholder on behalf of Schroders for third party service reviews.
- Manage people related activities for the Reporting Change & Oversight team including resourcing against budgets, recruitment and career development.

The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
- Direct and relevant experience of fund and client reporting operations in an Asset Management context including knowledge of regulatory reporting.
- Excellent analytical skills with an ability to combine an attention to detail with strategic thought
- Direct and relevant experience of managing a large book of change projects with inter dependencies
- Proven people and team management skills including demonstrable experience in motivating and developing a management team of varying experiences
- Sound communications skills with an ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation
- Proven end to end change delivery, working within an Agile framework
- Proven experience of controlling project risks and issues, and managing budgets
- A self-starter who is comfortable working in a dynamic environment with mínimal direction and supervision
- Good understanding and relevant experience of applicable asset management regulation and risk management frameworks
- Demonstrable client and service orientation
- A team-player, with the ability to operate effectively in a collegiate, collaborative, high performance environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to build constructive working relationships.
- External perspective on industry trends contributing to the evolving reporting change agenda.

- Direct and relevant experience of managing third party relationships with vendors.
- Experience of working in a matrix management organisation where key relationships and reporting lines at times differ.
