**Job Title: Global Supply Chain Coordinator**

**Location: Witney, Oxfordshire**

**Role Type: Permanent**

**Salary: Up to £36,000 DOE**

**25 days holiday + bank holidays. Pension scheme, Monday-Friday 8am-4.30pm**

The Company

The Role

We have an opening for an experienced Supply Chain Coordinator who has an extensive background in manufacturing, more specifically the planning and purchasing of long lead time items. This can include machined parts and consumables, amongst other items.

**Responsibilities**:

- Interface with the Operations Manager and the wider production team to plan and prioritise purchasing activity.
- Review planned orders and action any purchasing items.
- Create and raise purchase orders.
- Track orders and keep an eye on lead times.
- Ensure orders adhere to supplier agreements.
- Track order acknowledgement, prepare and communicate shortages and provide visibility of potential interruptions.
- Liaise directly with foreign and domestic suppliers including Nitron Japan to ensure stock levels are maintained.
- Ensure KANBAN re order points are set to the correct levels in line with the current lead times and part usage.
- Liaise with the Finance Manager to ensure shipping costs are tracked and kept down.
- Liaise with Freight Forwarding companies to ensure we receive parcels from foreign suppliers within lead time.

Skills and Experience
- Experience in supply chain planning within a manufacturing business is desirable.
- Experience of delivering against key metrics and business-critical paths.
- Fully conversant with MS Office software (e.g. complex Excel spreadsheets).
- Excellent communication skills for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to balance a wide range of requirements at any one time.
- An ability to liaise with engineering to ensure drawings and CAD data of the correct revision are sent to the suppliers.
- Excellent understanding of the supply chain process, both foreign and domestic including Call off Orders and KANBAN.
- Good understanding of manufacturing principles and some experience in the procurement of manufactured goods.
- Experience with ERP systems and more specifically BOMs, units of measure and consumption.
- Able to use own initiative
- Willing to help other areas of the team when required
- Ability to build strong working relationships

**Salary**: Up to £36,000.00 per year
