An opportunity has arisen for a for a highly motivated/dynamic individual to become a key member of our team on a part time basis. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and experienced administrator to be based in the Emergency Operations Centre at Speke, Liverpool.

You will be responsible for many administrative functions within Estuary Point EOC, work that you will be required to do will include the ordering of uniform, typing of letters, personal filing, to process and liaise with payroll regarding salaries, to maintain staff and patient confidentiality at all times and to provide administrative support to the Regional/Service Delivery Managers and their team including recording of formal minutes, working with investigations and police forces within the Cheshire and Merseyside footprint.

The Emergency Operations Centre function makes a vital contribution to the delivery of first-class patient care, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

The position requires excellent written/ verbal communication skills and the ability to work on own initiative. Additionally, problem solving skills along with the ability to plan, organise and work under pressure are essential.

Educated to the required standard, or with equivalent diploma/ level of knowledge, you will have experience of inputting and accessing Windows based packages and enjoy working in a fast paced environment. You must have experience of producing and developing complex documents such as spreadsheets, databases and reports. A minimum of two years experience working within a fast paced administrative and operational environment is essential.

North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust provides 24 hour, 365 days a year accident and emergency services to those in need of emergency medical treatment and transport.

Our highly skilled staff provide life-saving care to patients in the community and take people to hospital or a place of care if needed.

We also provide non-emergency patient transport services for those patients who require non-emergency transport to and from hospital and who are unable to travel unaided because of their medical condition or clinical need.

Alongside the other emergency services, we also work to ensure the safety of the public and treatment of patients in the event of a major incident.

We also deliver the NHS 111 service in the North West. NHS 111 replaced NHS Direct in 2013. This service was introduced to make it easier for people to access local NHS healthcare services in England. It provides non-emergency medical help fast, and is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
