**JOB TITLE** Senior Freight Forwarder

**LOCATION** Head Office, Hesketh Bank, Preston

**Salary** £26,000-£30,000 per annum + bonus

**Days of Work** 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- between the hours of 07:30am-18:00pm

We are looking for an **experienced Freight Forwarder/Account Manager **to join our growing business to
- Ensure the daily plan is completed in real time, managing resources effectively and maximising utilisation.
- Understand and be able to achieve key performance targets.
- Create collection plans to inform suppliers of loading requirements.
- Manage** new and existing customer accounts**.
- Be responsible for **increasing profitability, customer service and developing existing and new relationships** with customers, suppliers and subcontractors.
- Support the business develpment and growth.
- Experience in planning and managing a high volume of customers in the general haulage/contract logistics sector.
- Previous experience in working within the logistics sector and must be experienced in providing transport quotes and negotiating costs with carriers.
- Thorough attention to detail and organisation skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines.

This is an exciting, challenging and demanding role and you will need to be able to multitask, prioritise your own workload and communicate effectively. We use a range of Microsoft products throughout the business, so a good working knowledge is essential.
