Job Summary

TK Transport and Forwarding UK LTD are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Freight Forwarder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transportation management systems and supply chain processes, coupled with excellent negotiation skills. As a Freight Forwarder, you will be responsible for managing the movement of goods, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing exceptional service to our clients. Please be aware it is road freight job

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage the transportation of goods from origin to destination, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Utilise transportation management systems to track shipments and optimise logistics processes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with carriers, suppliers, and clients to facilitate smooth operations.
  • Negotiate freight rates and contracts to achieve cost-effective solutions for clients.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations
  • Manage data entry tasks related to shipment documentation and tracking within CRM software.
  • Collaborate with sales management teams to support lead generation and B2B sales initiatives.
  • Work closely with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to enhance service delivery.
  • Utilise EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) systems for efficient communication and data sharing.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, including AS400 system entries for inventory management.

Requirements

  • Proven 2 years experience in freight forwarding is essential
  • Own customers
  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes and transportation management systems.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and data entry tasks is required.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on achieving favourable outcomes for clients.
  • Experience in lead generation and B2B sales is preferred.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
