Job Summary
We’re seeking a Information Security and Data Protection Officer to join our IT team. Are you someone with a customer focused mindset with the ability to think on your feet?
The role will report directly to the Chief Digital and Information Officer and be the leading expert in Information Security and Data Protection at Brandon. This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday between 8am - 5pm. We operate a Hybrid working approach and work to a minimum of two days a week in office.
About the role
You’ll help navigate our journey towards a digital first strategy, using your expertise to make recommendations involving data or information security when considering any new solution.
With expert knowledge of navigating the requirements of compliance within the Data Protection act and General Data Protection Regulations. You’ll ensure what we do is consistently in line with our contractual and legal obligations to the people we support and our employees
About you
Committed with an eye for detail you’ll have a real passion for security. You’ll have knowledge of the fundamentals of information security and governance. With a good understanding of how to achieve and stay compliant with cybersecurity and information security certifications, such ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials plus.
An understanding of risk management and audit methodologies is essential and the tools that support audit and risk management process. You’ll have excellent analytical, problem solving skills and be comfortable with working in an environment, of rapid growth and constant change.
A strong knowledge of Data Protection legislation and particularly UK/EU GDPR. Ideally you’ll have a DPO or a CISM or CRISM certification.
