**Billing Clerk - Nottingham & Hybrid working - £23,000**

**Billing clerk responsibilities**:

- Prepare bills based upon company policies and fee earners instructions
- Liaising with different departments within the organisation to ensure that bills contain the correct information
- Utilising accounting systems to aid fee earners and their secretaries with the production of timely and accurate bills and invoices
- Assist with other financial transactions where required
- Inducting and training new staff in the billings process
- Querying errors on bills with partners, fee earners and their secretaries, as appropriate, with a view to getting the errors corrected
- Dealing with billing queries from partners, fee earners and the support teams as necessary
- Assisting in the preparation of information to enable matter group bills to be prepared

**What we’re looking for**:

- Must be IT literate with experience of using the Microsoft suite
- Experience of using a range of finance packages would be seen as beneficial
- Experienced with inputting and processing large volumes of data
- Work well within an office environment
- Be able to follow deadlines and ensure that a high quality of work is completed within these deadlines
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Must be numerate, methodical and accurate and have attention to detail
- A robust approach to relationships and interactions with colleagues and a positive team spirit is essential
