Metafab Structures Limited is on the lookout for a talented **Laser Operator/Fabrication Operative** to join our growing team. We specialise in the manufacturing of structural and architectural metalwork, and we're looking for someone who’s skilled, reliable, and takes pride in their craft.

**Responsibilities**:

- Laser Cutting
- Operate and set up CNC laser cutting equipment (flatbed and/or tube laser if applicable).
- Check material specs, ensure correct loading, unloading and safe operation.
- Carry out basic maintenance, cleaning and troubleshooting.
- Machining & Drilling
- Use workshop machinery such as pillar drills, bandsaws, grinders, Milling machines and other fabrication tools.
- Drill, deburr and prepare components to drawing requirements.
- Measure, inspect and quality-check work produced.
- Driving Duties
- Carry out collections and deliveries using company vehicles.
- Ensure safe loading and unloading of materials and components.
- Represent the company professionally during site visits and customer interactions.
- General Labouring
- Assist fabricators and welders with material handling and workshop tasks.
- Keep the workshop clean, organised and safe.
- Move, stack and store steel sections and finished products.

**What We’re Looking For**:

- Experience in a fabrication or engineering environment (laser operation preferred but not essential).
- Confident using hand tools, machinery and measuring equipment.
- Valid UK driving licence.
- Ability to read drawings (advantage but not essential).
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling.
- Good attitude, willingness to learn and reliable work ethic.
