**Job Overview**: We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Team Lead to join our team at FUNDA LAND. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Team Lead will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction, and leading a team of dedicated staff, as well as being responsible for site legislative requirements including Health and Safety and Food Hygiene. This role requires a hands-on leader with a passion for creating joyful experiences and a knack for operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Supervision:
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team of play area attendants, customer service representatives, and other staff members.
- Conduct team meetings at the start and end of each shift.
- Conduct training sessions to ensure staff are knowledgeable, engaged, and performing at their best.
- Provide mentorship and support to team members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Operational Management:
- Oversee daily operations of the soft play centre, ensuring all areas are safe, clean, and well-maintained in the absence of the General Manager.
- Monitor and manage inventory, supplies, and equipment to ensure the smooth running of the centre.
- Implement and uphold health and safety standards, ensuring compliance with all regulations and best practices.
- Customer Service:
- Deliver exceptional customer service, addressing any inquiries, concerns, or feedback promptly and professionally.
- Enhance the customer experience by ensuring staff deliver a high standard of service and by continuously improving centre activities and services.
- Event Coordination:
- Plan and coordinate special events, birthday parties, and themed activities, ensuring they run smoothly and are enjoyable for all participants.
- Work closely with parents and guardians to customise events to meet their expectations and create unforgettable experiences.
- Administrative Duties:
- Manage scheduling of rotas in the absence of the General Manager.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, including attendance, incident reports, and customer feedback.
- Assist with marketing and promotional activities to increase footfall and engagement at the centre.
**Qualifications**:
- Proven experience in a supervisory or team lead role, preferably in a customer-facing or child-focused environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for working with children and creating enjoyable experiences.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to child play areas is a plus.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and special events as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around for extended periods.
- Capability to lift and carry moderate weight, including food trays and kitchen supplies.
- Stamina to actively engage with children and perform physical activities in the play area
