We have an exciting vacancy for a Business Support Officer within Integrated Children’s Services - Safeguarding, Quality Assurance & Practice Standards Unit. We offer an attractive package of 26 days paid annual leave plus bank holidays, a pension scheme and the Kent Rewards Scheme. In addition to this, we offer opportunities for training and development and the teams are currently working flexibly from home and the office.
We are looking for someone with administrative experience and who is confident dealing with a variety of responsibilities and using a range of IT packages. In particular, you will be responsible for handling sensitive information and recording data as well as liaising with a range of professionals.
You will need to demonstrate excellent organisation and communication skills. You must be able to proactively manage your workload and support the wider team, whilst responding to urgent requests and deadlines.
The role is varied and interesting and you will be joining an experienced team who work closely together to provide excellent support for their social work colleagues. This is a full-time role, and we are available for colleagues and families from 8:30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. We can offer opportunities for personal training and development within the service, as well as equipment to enable you to work flexibly from both home and office.
This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
