Senior Manager

Join our Direct Tax Team as a Senior Manager and take ownership of group tax reporting for the EMEA region reporting to the EMEA Head of Tax Reporting.
As a Senior Manager in the team, you will manage the group tax reporting process for the EMEA region including Effective Tax Rate (ETR) management and forecasting, tax balance sheet management and regional reporting to the Tax Reporting Group team in Sydney.You will also run the monthly, half yearly and annual reporting process including managing areas of judgement in the tax accounting space.
You will have responsibility for keeping Senior Stakeholders within Finance and the Business Units updated on tax reporting matters with a key focus on controls in the tax reporting space. You will work closely with the Tax Reporting team in Sydney and theregional Finance and Business Unit FP&A teams in order to manage the group reporting and forecasting for tax in the region.
You will have responsibility for 1/2 team members in London and will provide training & support to our regional Indian tax shared service team members. There will be lots of scope to provide support for process improvement and change management initiativesacross our EMEA tax reporting with an ongoing focus on data & technology
To be successful in the role you will have significant experience and ideally be operating at a Senior Manager level within a Tax Reporting function in-house or within an accountancy firm with 8 - 10 years post qualification experience. You will also have astrong UK Tax technical skill set. You will have Corporate Tax experience for large companies & consolidated groups, which will include tax accounting and compliance. An exposure to European tax accounting and compliance issues (i.e., non-UK experience) ispreferred.
You will have an ability to understand complex structures and transactions, be able to work well under pressure and showcase your ambition with a high level of energy and commitment as a strong people leader.
