**MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT**

**Based in Peterborough, PE1**

**Full Time, Permanent (based onsite)**

Hales Group are looking for a Management Accountant to join their busy finance team based in Peterborough. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller you will work in a team of 4, within a larger team of 20+. With a current turnover of £60m and aspirationalgrowth targets for the next two years we need a flexible and adaptable Management Accountant (qualified or part qualified) to grow with us We can offer training to gain qualifications as well as the opportunity to manage a team.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**

As a Management Accountant you will be working closely with the Head of Finance in the supporting of monthly management accounts along with being the lead on the day to day running of the finance function

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Preparation of monthly management accounts to agreed deadlines
- Preparation of forecasts & budgets
- Oversee the weekly commercial reporting to the operating divisions
- Support with year-end statutory accounts
- Supporting and analysing both ledgers along with the management accounts, which will help support the Head of Finance in business-critical decisions.

**About You**

Capable of working in busy and deadline driven environments you can be Qualified or Part Qualified. You will be a driven finance professional with proven experience of working in a similar role OR come from an Account's Assistant role or similar, lookingto take the next step up. Further training to gain qualifications can also be discussed and offered.

It is essential you are able to work with and analyse large amounts of data within Excel and implement mistake proofing to avoid system errors. Proven experience of working and liaising with Auditors is also essential.

Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI and Sage would also be advantageous.

Please note that this role is based on site, 5 days a week.
