**Job title**:Private Enquiry Coordinator

**Hours**: 3-5 days per week (22.5 - 37.5 hours per week); work pattern 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday but some flexibility can be offered. Role is for one month with possibility of extension.

**Responsible to**: Head of Marketing

**Accountable to**: Associate Director of Marketing and Communications

**Location**:
Moorfield's Eye Hospital is in central London, which is easily accessible to get to by tube, bus and by train, Kings cross station and Euston station are all a short bus ride away If you are driving you are limited to parking around the hospital but there are some meter parking and privately operated car parks, so don’t you worry if you hold a blue badge or are driving a holder of a blue badge, you are able to park in the designated disabled bays just outside the hospital in City Road.

**Main Responsibilities**:
To handle all enquiries in line with the published procedures and protocols at all times, including:

- Provide an effective, efficient, customer friendly service to the patients and referrers
- Appoint, cancel and rearrange appointments accurately and as required using an electronic booking system
- When required, to ensure there are letters of guarantee or appropriate patient finance arrangements are in place
- Send out all appropriate information and materials to callers after the call has finished
- Record the required information from each enquiry accurately and according to standard operating procedures
- Follow up enquiries as required

To support the processing of referrals from the OPERA digital system which facilitates referrals from optometrists

To support managers in developing and delivering enquiry analysis reports

To liaise with the consultants’ Practice Managers regarding outpatient appointments and operational matters related to their clinics

**Education/ Qualification**:

- GCSE grade C or above equivalent in English and Math's

**Experience and Knowledge**:

- experience in working with the public in a customer focused environment
- Experience of working within a similar role within the private healthcare or other commercial sector
