Medical Receptionist

**Receptionists Required for Dudley Urgent Care Centre & GP Out of Hours : Weekend Cover, evenings and nights will need to be covered on rota**
We currently have opportunities for Urgent Treatment Centre receptionists.
We operate 24hrs a day, 7 days of the week providing care to patients with an urgent clinical need.
**The Role requirements**
**Responsibilities**:
- First point of contact for the Urgent Care Centre
- Answering phone calls from patients, surgeries and other hospital departments
- Booking patient appointments onto the Adastra system
- General Administration when required
- Sending performance updates to the management team
- Escalation to on call managers when required
- Chaperone duties when requested by a clinician
- Referrals & navigating patients to alternative services
- Signing out doctor’s equipment
- Ability to work flexibly overnights, bank holidays & weekends.
Person Specification
- Knowledge of Adastra clinical system is desirable but not essential.
- Experience within an NHS or fast paced customer service environment desirable.
- Excellent timekeeping
- Ability to remain calm under periods of high pressure.
- Proficient in the use of MS office products
- Excellent Telephone Manner
- Excellent communication skills with peers of all levels up to senior management
- Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
- Excellent verbal communication and listening skills.
- Be flexible, motivated and committed.
- Have a passion for delivering exceptional customer/patient service with a ‘can do’ attitude
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £11.44 per hour
Schedule:
- Night shift
- Weekend availability
