_Overview of the role: _
- The Inventory Controller will be responsible for improving and maintaining the accuracy of inventory on our systems. Identify solutions and support implementation of new/changes to procedures to improve the visibility of inventory across the supply chain. Liaising closely with Buyers, Finance, Warehouse, Sales and Technical teams.

- Key Accountabilities: _
- Improve processes and controls related to inventory flow across the supply chain with the view to enhance accuracy and visibility of inventory in our systems.
- Ensure all inventory and stock management systems are maintained accurately, reacting and escalating where appropriate.
- Monitor and update stakeholders on the status of deliveries and transfers from suppliers and external warehouses.
- Ensure all receipts have been booked in on a daily basis backed up with the correct supporting documentation
- Perform periodic audit of goods in control processes, working closely with the Warehouse and Quality team to ensure materials are inspected, counted and stored as required.
- Ensure all inventory transfers from the warehouse to production is updated accurately on the system on a daily basis, including picking done during the night shift.
- Oversee weekly and monthly stock counting processes including root cause analysis when discrepancies arise and implementing effective corrective actions where necessary.
- Update Navision with daily consumption and update daily production planner with production inventory count
- Monitor shortages report and ensure daily dispatches done on the system
- Track and report on inventory waste throughout the supply chain, Actual vs theoretical, Giveaway, over production
- Produce daily inventory report and share with relevant stakeholders.
- Review expired and slow-moving inventory raising finding and action taken with management
- Review and update unit of measures for consistency between planner file and Navision
- Report vegetable deliveries Catch weight discrepancies with the supplier on a daily basis to ensure we receive credit notes as required
- What you’ll need: _
- Have thorough knowledge of warehouse operations and procedures
- Experience working in an inventory or stock control position within an FMCG
- IT literacy with experience of MS Office and Navision/Business Central
- Excellent communication skills with the Ability to build relationships with all managers across multiple departments
- Experience of lean manufacture, kanban and kaizen continuous improvement or similar production tools would be an advantage.
- Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail
- Self-starter, proactive and able to solve complex issues
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Flexibility to travel across UK once a month
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
