Performance and Procurement Support Officer

The post holder will support the Sandwell Children’s Trust Commissioning Team in the function of commissioning external placements, liaising with internal fostering team and supporting the Placement and Procurement Officers on the duty rota.
**Key requirements of the post are**:
- To provide administrative support around contract management and commissioning projects
- To act as a point of liaison between the Council and commissioned services
- Keep contract documentation up to date, undertake payment and performance monitoring, and provide support and paperwork for Chairs of contract monitoring meetings
- Liaison with external providers to secure placements that needs of children while offering value for money
**Hours**:
37 hours per week
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Business studies
- At least 2 years’ experience of supporting procurement within commissioning with a minimum of 1 years’ experience of working with community and voluntary sector organisations.
- 2 years’ experience of collecting monitoring and financial information against targets in service level agreements.
- 1 years’ experience of working in partnership with colleagues from other disciplines and agencies.
- Minimum of 18 months experience of working in a busy office environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing with a range of stakeholders including staff from public and voluntary sector organisations and the general public.
- Post requires a detailed understanding of legislation in their area of work including Every Child Matters agenda and Safeguarding issues, and a basic knowledge of concepts and principles across a broad range of service areas.
- Ability to collate information from a variety of sources.
- Excellent administrative and IT skills.
- Knowledge of project management.
