Our Public Sector client has an opportunity for an experienced Communications & Engagement Manager to join their team on an interim basis for 2 months initially. This is an excellent opportunity to join the People and Culture (HR) Office to contribute to thedelivery of our clients internal communication and engagement strategy tailored to our clients requirements and challenges.
Reporting to the Head of Colleague Engagement, and the Head of Organisational Development and Colleague Experience, this will include:

- Developing the key messages to clearly explain our strategic plan to our elected Members, their staff, and Scottish Parliamentary staff. You will ensure our communication tactics are relevant, consistent, and joined up.
- Sourcing and writing stories about our people and their successes to showcase progress against the strategic plan, to celebrate diversity and inclusion in the workplace and to demonstrate our values. Suggesting innovative new ways to communicate with colleaguesand to engage them with our strategic priorities, bringing our strategic plan to life.
- Working with the Head of Internal Communications and Colleague Engagement to identify appropriate measures to gauge the success of our internal communications.

In addition, you will have:

- A proven track record of planning and delivering inspiring and successful internal communication and engagement strategies
- An excellent all-round knowledge of internal communications processes, methods, measurement, systems, and technologies and how to create great blended campaigns.
- A creative thinker, always looking for new and unique ways of driving colleague engagement
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent organisational and planning skills
- A creative, enthusiastic, energetic individual who can inspire, motivate, and engage others
- The ability to think spontaneously and respond positively to pressure
- The confidence to challenge the status quo to support innovative approaches
- Comfortable with a business partnering role, and teasing out the stories that will inspire and enthuse colleagues.
