**The Role**
Based within the Production team at the Swansea site, you will work closely with all areas of operations and engineering to achieve agreed targets.
You will be able to set and run 2 colour Printing Presses, both conventional and UV with ‘in line’ varnishing sheet feed systems including CNC controls.
Working with the Shift Team Leaders in meeting all departmental safety, quality and throughput objectives.
Working collaboratively within the Production Teams in a professional and efficient manner.
Promoting the health, safety and wellbeing of employees whilst ensuring exemplary quality, customer service and compliance standards.
A high level of drive, customer focus and wanting to continually improve are essential for this role along with good interpersonal skills that are required to operate at all levels of the organisation.
**Key Accountabilities**
- Setting and operating metal decorating sheet fed lithographic printing presses (KBA, Fuji, Crabtree, Mailander) with both thermal ovens and UV curing.
- Adhere to the company Quality Management System through completing quality checks and recording data on production records.
- Effectively and efficiently maintain machines capability including maximising run speed and minimising change over times.
- Problem solving and correcting both quality, production and basic engineering issues.
- Completing planned maintenance activities as required, feeding back work in the maintenance management system.
- Efficient preparation of lines for subsequent orders and completion of production documentation as required, completing effective shift handover with the other shift teams.
- Comply with the company’s Health and Safety, and Food Hygiene policies to include: Reporting of all safety and food safety concerns and incidents; maintaining a high standard of housekeeping and hygiene both personally and in the work environment.
Please note that this is a shift based role. Mainly working two shifts, but night shift may be required as customer demand dictates.
Salary
- up to £38,958 based on experience + Shift Allowance and Competitive Package.
Pay: Up to £38,958.00 per year
