**Job Title: Customer Service Apprentice - Reception**

The successful applicant will be enrolled onto the Customer Services Practitioner Level 2 apprenticeship course with the potential to complete Level 3 in the future.

**Reporting to: Office and Payroll Manager**

**Overall Purpose**

**Key responsibilities**
- To take responsibility for the delivery and provision of a welcoming and efficient reception service for customers, business partners, colleagues and guests through face to face and telephone enquiries. A professional telephone manner and relaying clear messages are a vital part of the role.
- To provide a general business administrative service including ad-hoc tasks to the Group of Companies with the ability to prioritise your workload.
- To maintain adequate stock levels of stationery, equipment and supplies for head office.
- To run an efficient room booking system for internal customers, to include meeting room preparation and arranging provisions.
- To log and distribute incoming post, maintain company electronic filing folders and mailing external post.
- To liaise with utility providers in setting up new accounts for company properties.
- To assist all colleagues within Mavam with data input into various software systems.
- Responsible for the handling of cash payments at reception and running an accurate logging system.
- To attend team meetings and record minutes.
- To assist the People Officer with interview bookings and recruitment processes.
- Arranging MOT’s and servicing of the company vehicles.
- To prepare lunches for training hosted at head office.
- To carry out general housekeeping tasks.
- Assist with co-ordination of company events, for example the annual Christmas party.
- Responsible for being in the role of First Aider and maintaining First Aid kits.
- To take on the role as Deputy Fire Marshall and assist the Fire Marshall with Fire point tests on a monthly basis
- Undertake training courses in line with business needs.
- Duties may be reviewed from time to time in accordance with the needs, services and requirements of the company.

**Experience**

No prior experience is required for this role.

Full training will be given for all aspects of the job, with the potential for future career development and progression at the company.

**Skills & attributes**
- Computer literacy (Basic Microsoft word, Excel and Outlook)
- Confidence to interact with people in a friendly and helpful manner.
- Excellent communication skills and being welcoming and approachable are required as a vital part of the role.
- The role is varied and will require being highly motivated, organised and a strong attention to detail.
- Enthusiasm to learn and work is essential.
- Excellent organisational skills and punctuality.
- Flexible and adaptable, work well on own initiative and as part of a team.
- Have a proactive attitude.

**Requirements**:

- Right to work in the UK.
- Valid UK Driving Licence
- This role is office based and you will be required to work 37.5 hrs Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm.
