**Job Title: Administrative & Finance Officer**
**Location**: East Kilbride
**Working Hours**: Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm
**Salary**: Competitive, Dependant on Experience
**Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities:Administration & Office Support**
- Provide general administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office.
- Maintain accurate records and filing systems (both digital and paper-based).
- Manage office supplies and liaise with suppliers.
- Assist in scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and recording minutes.
**Finance & Accounting**
- Prepare and issue invoices and billing documentation in a timely manner.
- Monitor incoming payments and manage accounts receivable.
- Conduct credit control activities, including client follow-ups for outstanding balances.
- Maintain up-to-date financial records and transaction logs.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with HMRC regulations.
- Support month-end and year-end financial processes in collaboration with external accountants or finance teams.
**Client Engagement**
- Act as a first point of contact for finance-related queries from clients.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Ensure clear communication of billing terms and payment schedules.
**Person Specification: Essential**:
- Proven experience in an administrative and/or finance-based role.
- Knowledge of basic bookkeeping principles and VAT requirements.
- Competency in using accounting software (Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
**Desirable**:
- Experience in credit control or debt recovery.
- Previous experience within a professional services or customer-facing environment.
- AAT or similar finance/accounting qualification.
