Lead Software Tester

**Location: Horsham, West Sussex**

**Salary: £30,000-£40,000 depending on experience**

**Contract: Permanent**

**Hours of work: 9:00-17:00 (37.5 hours per week)**

We are looking for an experienced software tester to join our growing team. You will be working with a team that have varying levels of experience and will help to improve our existing platform. The role involves mentoring junior members of the team, to help develop the individual, team and company as whole.

**Responsibilities**
- Charged with leading a team of software testers.
- Be involved in designing and implementing automated testing.
- Drive and enforce best software testing practices.
- Take ownership of work assigned and ensure that it is delivered within the agreed timeline.
- Work as part of a team and on your own initiative to complete assigned tasks.
- Mentor and guide more junior team members when required.
- Continue to self-educate, grow your knowledge, and contribute to the wider team and department.
- Communicate within your team, department, and other stakeholders within the business.
- Make suggestions to help improve the efficiency of the team and department.

**We require you to have**:

- Strong knowledge of software testing principles.
- Excellent ability to coordinate others and make informed decisions around prioritising work.
- Great leadership skills.
- At least 3 years in a testing role.
- Flexible, hardworking, and enthusiastic.
- Design testing plans based on software requirements.
- Applicant should already have legal right to work in UK.

**Desirable**:

- Experience work with databases like MSSQL.
- A good understanding of the development lifecycle.
- Exposure to designing and implementing automated testing.
- Experience of CI/CD pipelines.
- An interest or knowledge of the telecoms industry and mobile networks.
