The Examinations Administrator is an integral part of the undergraduate teaching team, involved with detailed processes and implementing and managing examination procedures. The role requires an intricate understanding of methods, systems, spreadsheets and College procedures with an ability to deal with large amounts of data confidently and with great precision. An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills, you will respond to queries and support and train casual workers to provide the best service.

**Duties and responsibilities**:
**Examinations Administration**
- To support the EOM with the day
- to - day operation of examination venues. For example; assisting with room arrangements for the examinations; ensuring proper invigilation of the examinations is put in place; supporting the invigilators to perform their duties in accordance with the exam regulations.
- To start and end exams as required
- To assist in the distribution and retrieval of examination packs to staff and invigilators before and after examinations.
- To ensure all necessary stationery and materials and other requirements are provided for examinations.
- To support with the production of reports, tables and spreadsheets; preparing all the paperwork needed for examination marking.
- To assist in administrative processes ensuring examination scripts are marked in line with Departmental procedures
- To liaise with academic staff to arrange the marking of their exams, respond to queries, supporting with their deadlines
- To assist with quality control of the examination process
- To assist in the collation/preparation of marks and results for examination boards by performing data entry.
- To assist with the preparation of paperwork required for External Examiners visits.
- To work on current systems for the archiving of examination scripts and examination documentation.
- To ensure a high level of security is maintained at all times
- To work together with the EOM on any other issues related to the smooth running of the examination system(s).

**General**
- Planning and prioritising own work activities over the academic year ahead to meet self-determined objectives in line with operational requirements, adjusting priorities as necessary to accommodate new pressures and frequent changes in circumstances.

**Essential requirements**:

- Experience of work within a Higher Education establishment or equivalent knowledge
- Experience of organising examinations
- Experience of university examination administration
- Experience of working with databases including reporting
- Working knowledge of a range of computer-based procedures and software packages, including Microsoft Office and Outlook. Willingness to learn and work with new software packages
- Excellent organisational skills, good time management and ability to work to deadlines
