This job role may be suitable for hybrid working, which is an informal, non-contractual and voluntary arrangement, blending a balance of attendance in the workplace (your permanent duty station which is based on business assessment of where the work is best done) and working remotely.  This is dependent on trials requirements where attendance in the office will be required.

**Job description**

The Patching Compliance lead provides leadership and development support to the Patching Compliance team, helping to ensure patches are applied, monitoring team performance and liaising with various stakeholders across the MOD.

Responsibilities include:

- Lead the management and development of the Defence Digital (DD) Patching Compliance Team across relevant security domains and devices.
- Ensure that appropriate DD Patches are identified, distributed and monitored as required, and are applied within the specified timeframe to the necessary devices.
- Monitor issues escalated from the team, manage responses and further escalate to the Department Head if/when required.
- Lead the creation, running and analysis of dashboards and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports, dealing with any issues identified.
- Lead stakeholder engagement with other teams and departments. Lead team meetings and meetings with other dir. ops teams and departments as required.
- Report directly to the Department Head, communicating clearly any progress, issues and concerns.
- Line management responsibilities for 1x C2 and countersigning officer for 4x D bands.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with a friendly disposition and has good communication skills.

You will need to be confident and able to work under pressure whilst always remaining polite and courteous.  You will also need to have the ability to use a degree of initiative, and the ability to retain information to prioritise daily duties.
