**Salary**: £45,000 - £52,000 plus £5,200 car allowance

Are you a Payroll Manager with a broad knowledge of all aspects of payroll?Interested in joining an established North East brand? If so, we have a rare opportunity for a Group Payroll Manager who will deliver a class leading payroll service to our 6,000employees.

This is a pivotal role in our Group HR team and you’ll be supported by our experienced Head of Payroll to drive our class leading, customer centric payroll service, while motivating the team. Day-to-day you will also work to maximise opportunities for automationand look to implement appropriate processes, controls, and governance to drive improved performance.

**Your key responsibilities will include**
- Leading the Payroll Team
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and the customer experienc
- Providing pay related metrics to support the completion of monthly management informatio
- Maintaining excellent relationships with all internal and external Stakeholders
- Reconciliation of payroll balance sheets
- Administration of colleague benefits including salary sacrifice
- HMRC returns - monthly, annual, and P11d
- Administration of Group and NEST Pension Schemes including new entrants and leavers
- Administration of employee Shares and SAYE Schemes
- Payroll onboarding via acquisition, merger and TUPE transfer

**About you**
- First and foremost you’ll have experience working in Payroll in a direct management capacity
- Through your experience you’ll bring current legislative knowledge of PAYE, RTI, Auto Enrolment, SMP, SSP, P11D, and administration of share schemes
- Your Excel skills will be at a good standard, with experience of pivot tables and the ability to manipulate data extracts from our system
- This is a busy role so you’ll need to be able to multitask, prioritise and work to tight deadlines with the help of your friendly, supportive team
