**Payroll Specialist, Shildon DL4**
**Salary**:£30,000-£40,000 per annum
**The Role**:
Preparation of weekly wages and monthly salaries and all associated reporting requirements for the company and statutory authorities.
- Duties_
- Processing input for new starters, leavers and updating the company's in-house payroll system - EARNIE. Preparing payroll and reports and distributing wages and salary slips.
- Keeping records for attendance, sickness and absence and using the functionality of CaptureIT Software.
- Based on weekly and monthly salaries, summarising PAYE and NI liability and organising payment to HMRC.
- Updating and uploading to HMRC with weekly and monthly payroll data in accordance with RTI requirements.
- Producing P45,P46, P60, end of year P35 and P11D’s return for employee benefits.
- Ensuring correct deductions are made and paid over to the relevant authorities for attachment of earnings, CSA, student loan deductions, and pension deductions. Keeping accurate records, reconciliations, and working papers for these deductions and payments.
- Recording all payroll transactions and payments, by journal, in the company finance system - WINMAN
- Allocating remittances received from customers and recording them in the company finance system.
- Reconciling 3 bank accounts on a weekly basis and more critically for accounting month-end. Performing bank reconciliations for month-end.
- Assist with year-end stock take and the keying in of data following stock count.
- Reconciliation of named GL accounts as directed by the Finance Manager.
- Assist with external auditors and internal auditors’ requirements as concerns the above elements.
- Provide holiday cover for sales invoice runs and purchase ledger as and when necessary.
