**What you’ll be doing**
Hitachi ZeroCarbon is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Operations Bid Support Specialist to join our team. As an Operations Bid Support Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our operations and business development efforts by providing comprehensive bid support throughout the project lifecycle.
- Bid Coordination: Collaborate closely with the operations and business development teams to inform and coordinate bid activities, ensuring timely submission of high-quality proposals and tenders.
- Proposal Development: Assist in the development of compelling proposals and bid documents by gathering relevant information, coordinating input from various stakeholders, and ensuring alignment with client requirements and company standards.
- Bid Documentation: Prepare and maintain bid documentation, including proposals, presentations, contracts, and other supporting materials, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with internal and external guidelines.
- Market Research: Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential opportunities, understand market trends, and gather intelligence on competitors and industry best practices.
- Bid Evaluation: Support the evaluation of bid opportunities by analyzing requirements, assessing risks, and identifying strategies to enhance competitiveness and maximize win potential.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, partners, subcontractors, and suppliers, to facilitate collaboration, address inquiries, and resolve issues throughout the bidding process.
- Process Improvement: Working with the Operations and Sales Teams to continuously evaluate and enhance bid management processes, tools, and workflows to streamline operations, optimize efficiency,
**What you bring to the team**
We’re looking for a team player, who is motivated by delivering great work and the Hitachi vision. The role will be a mixture of remote-hybrid work with 2-3 days/week working at Hitachi Office (Broadgate Tower, 20 Primrose Street, EC2A 2EW)
- Qualification in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in bid management, proposal development, or related roles within the energy, infrastructure, or engineering sectors.
- Strong understanding of bid processes, contract management principles, and project lifecycle.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and bid management software/tools.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage competing priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of renewable energy technologies and sustainability practices is a plus.
