IT Support Technician (including weekend work) required for my client based in either Bracknell / Milton Keynes / Crawley / Manchester This is a hybrid role - 2 days IN 2 days OUT Salary is £35k SHIFTS: 4 days on / 3 days off - This will include weekends (Saturday & Sunday) potentially Sat OR Sunday Hours are 8am - 6pm This role can be performed remotely but my client wants someone relatively local to one of their offices (locations above) in case of office moves, training, face to face support being required etc, although weekends will always be remote. The purpose of this IT Support Technician position is to help support the IT infrastructure and IT support cases for all offices and employees. As your position and knowledge progresses, you will also have the opportunity to assist the growth and maintenance of multiple locations and computer networks across the company, along with managing the server infrastructure that is primarily a Microsoft environmentsupporting 500+ users. **Responsibilities**: " Operate and maintain all corporate computer systems and corporate cloud environment. " Perform systems and security monitoring and takes mitigating action as required. " Perform regular data and operating system backups, patches and software updates. " Maintain system backups, data archives and system and audit security logs. " Work with vendors and support engineers to resolve service outages or disruptions. " Ensure IT tasks or projects are accomplished within the designated timeframe. " Configure, deploy, and maintain local and remote IT equipment. " Maintain an accurate accounting of the corporate accounts and IT inventory. " Assist deployments of new hardware and software solutions. " Assist with the planning, documentation and execution of IT projects. " Assist in creating formal documentation of IT policies, processes and procedures. " Provide first and second line technical support to employees of varied IT-skill levels. " Maintain accurate records and regularly communicate timely status update reports. " Compile information to support operational plans of or technical recommendations. " Attend and contribute to regular department, staff meetings or technical group discussions. " Contribute to team effort by performing assigned duties and perform other duties as assigned. Skills / Qualifications " Bachelor's Degree (BA) or 2 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. " Computer skills required: proficient knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop Operating systems, LAN and WAN technologies, and sound ability to practice IT security fundamentals. " Other skills required: Windows Desktop Operating systems; Microsoft Office Products; Adobe Acrobat Windows Server Operating systems; Microsoft Active Directory & Group Policy Management; File and Print Management; VoIP Management. Any experience with AppleMac OS is a bonus. " Strong experience with system management tools, logical file systems and client/server environments. " Excellent communication and customer service skills along with well-developed problem solving and analytical skills. Any experience with Citrix, OKTA is desirable. You MUST have excellent communication skills, be confident, engaging and outgoing as you will be the 1st point of contact for users.
