To maintain the Raiser’s Edge database via data entry, gift processing, address
updates and other relevant information to provide high quality and accurate data
services.

To produce routine and ad-hoc reports to support operational decision making for
the service.

To assist the Operations Manager and Head of Development and Alumni in the
preparation of timely, relevant, and accurate analysis and reporting on,
departmental, wider service and University projects.

Provide administrative support to the Development and Alumni Relations team and
wider service as required (particularly in relation to alumni and donor data including
the Net Community Website).

**Key Responsibilities**
**and Accountabilities**:

- Regularly import data from the University SITS system to the alumni database,

encompassing all data on current UK/EU, International on-campus (including
London Campus, and TNE.
- Compile, record, store and archive data and information to ensure the accuracy

and safety of information.
- Work with the Operations Manager to ensure all gifts are recorded, tracked and

maintained on the database including acknowledgments, soft credits and gift
aid.
- Support the Operations Manager with monthly gift reconciliation and batch

reporting.

the service and The Development Trust (including Gift Aid submissions,
prospect reporting, action reporting and more).
- Coordinate data for large scale mailings (including but not limited to invitations,

season’s greetings, ‘lost alumni’ campaigns and leaflet drops).
- Contribute effectively to Development and Alumni team meetings and work with

colleagues across the services and faculties to provide support for alumni
related Customer Relationship Management (CRM) activities.
- Liaise with representatives from other service areas, professional organisations

and agencies where necessary.
- Support the Corporate Events team with data entry and processing relating to

events (including but not limited to recording attendees, exporting seating plans
and invitation lists and RSVPs).
- Regular cleaning and enrichment of the database including de duplication of

records via an ongoing schedule of housekeeping.
- Work with members of the team regarding development of the Alumni

Association and Development websites to support efficient integration with the
Raiser’s Edge database.
- Encourage a culture in the service which supports University and Development

and Alumni priorities including responsiveness and excellence in customer
service and outputs.

**Qualifications and Professional Memberships**:

- An undergraduate degree or equivalent (2:2 or above).

**Experience**:

- High level of IT skills including management of databases, use of Access and

Excel.
- Experience of producing high quality reports from data.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Relevant administrative experience in a busy office environment.
- Experience of working on the front line with service delivery, and the ability to

work under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising on quality.
- Experience of working in a team.

**Key Knowledge and Expertise**:

- Accuracy, numeracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to solve problems as part of a team and resolve straightforward issues.
- Good digital skills including experience in using core digital tools including

booking system.
- A good working knowledge of CRM databases.

- Experience of dealing with Freedom of Information and data protection issues.
- Experience of working in HE or charity sectors.
- Experience of working in Development and Alumni/Fundraising.
