To provide administrative support to the CAMH Service ensuring efficient and smooth running of the unit.

To work closely with lead administrator and operational manager to provide an efficient and responsive secretarial provision to CAMHS including the consultant psychiatrist, and other administrative duties

To provide administrative support to the Senior Management Group i.e. note taking, meeting arrangements, support to general manager etc.

To work flexibly within that team and to contribute to the smooth functioning of the systems underpinning the team’s service to clients.

To work alongside and to cover, when appropriate, other administration staff across several locations in some instances.

We are looking to appoint two enthusiastic and professional secretary to provide comprehensive and professional secretarial and administrative support to one of our multidisciplinary teams at the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service, York House in Newham. Newham CAMHS is a large clinic spread across 2 sites, where doctors, nurses and therapists work with children, young people and their families/carers.

The post would suit an individual with excellent organisational, communication and secretarial skills, together with excellent planning, and time management skills, who would like to join a friendly, supportive administrative team.

You will need to be a good team player and be able to work well under pressure. Depending on your strengths, you could be working with one or more multidisciplinary clinical team(s) to manage the teams administrative systems, liaise with colleagues within and outside of the service, book appointments, upload documents, take minutes and provide a first class word processing services. You will also work with the senior management group and general manager to support the regular meetings.

Experience of Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel, and a typing speed of 45wpm is essential.
