This is an exciting opportunity for an Interim Assistant Director for Commissioning across the new Adult Social Care, Integrated Care and Public Health Department. As the local authority enters a new phase of transformation with a new CEO, the future directionof the Department will also be shaped by a new Executive Director.

This position seeks to provide oversight and integration of the commissioning process across the Department as well as playing a key role in driving forward our integration with health partners.

The role will focus on supporting the current Transformation Programmes across the commissioning portfolio within the department. This will include Adult Social Care, Public Health and a range of integration initiatives.

The post holder will have extensive knowledge of a broad range of health and social care issues, and expertise in working with a broad range of stakeholders including NHS bodies and the voluntary and community sector.

You will have:

- A track record in providing strategic leadership and maximising efficiency, developing and implementing different delivery models and improving performance.
- Commissioning experience at a senior level.
- A demonstrable commitment to co-design and co-production with individuals accessing care and their carers.
- Experience of leading, managing and delivering transformational change in a complex organisation and across organisational boundaries.
- An appreciation of major reforms and best practice relating to health and social care and housing.
- A comprehensive knowledge of issues/challenges for the health and social care, nationally/regionally and locally.
- A track record of successfully delivering complex transformation programmes or projects relating to health and social care.
- Up to date knowledge of statutory and regulatory requirements for health and social care
- Experience of people management at an organisational level including motivation, performance and capability.
- A track record of Effective Partnership working.
- Experience of managing budgets, financial information and the budget setting process at a senior level.
An understanding, appreciation and ability to work in a complex political context and environment.
A detailed understanding and awareness of assurance regimes for health and social care services.
