**COSTUME FABRICS ASSISTANT**

**Location**: Colliers Wood, South London (SW19 2JD)

**Type**: Full time, Mon - Fri

Remuneration: £23,500

**Job Summary**

We are looking for a **Costume Fabrics Assistant** to join our busy Fabrics department. Reporting directly to the Fabrics Manager, the duties are to include:

- Liaising with Production, Sales and Wardrobe departments to discuss fabric and costume requirements.
- Producing fabric sample sheets, sending to clients, and resampling if required.
- Sourcing and ordering fabrics, accessories, haberdashery, and props for all new costumes.
- Ordering other stock items such as footwear, fittings, fastenings, and vinyl.
- Maintaining and organising fabrics in the warehouse.
- Prioritising, collating, and distributing fabrics for projects to the workshop in order and by deadlines.
- Reshelving fabrics when projects are complete.
- Producing box sheets for new costumes.
- Liaising with suppliers, sourcing new suppliers, and requesting samples.
- Liaising with outhouse makers, dyers, knitters for specific projects and sending materials to them.
- Reordering fabrics from suppliers / dyers as necessary.
- Generating and managing purchase orders for suppliers and signing off invoices.
- Any other ad hoc duties that may arise.

**About You**

You will be self-motivated and reliable with excellent attention to detail. You’ll have strong organisational skills and the ability to work to deadlines. This role will require lifting/moving rolls of fabric, so you should be physically able to do this.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £23,500.00 per year
