Leeds Building Services (LBS) is the in-house service provider for construction, repairs and maintenance works across the Council. The service currently delivers Responsive Repairs, Maintenance and Planned Works to Council Houses across various parts of the City and Council Assets across 800 sites including Schools, the Civic Estate, Offices, Sports and Leisure Centers and Children’s Homes across the Authority.
**As an Apprentice Co-Ordinator you will**:
- Oversee the LBS apprenticeship programme, including recruitment, onboarding and ongoing support of apprenticeships.
- Promote the LBS apprenticeship programme at events, forums and by engaging with schools/colleges etc.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with apprenticeship provider(s) and other stakeholders (e.g. LBS Service Managers, Housing colleagues, Schools, Colleges, LCC Apprenticeship Team) to ensure success of the programme.
- Coordinate activity for apprentices ensuring that they receive experience in different areas, with different mentors and that the evidence requirements are met.
- Maintain accurate records of apprenticeship agreements, training activities/log and participant progress.

**Examples of the type of work involved**:
- Work collaboratively with Senior Managers and other managers across the business to identify training needs analysis of the service.
- Develop training plans and schedules to address the training needs of the service, ensuring alignment to relevant legislation and industry standards.
- Co-ordinate logistics of training, including room bookings, arranging materials and systems and managing attendee registrations.
- Monitor the effectiveness of training through feedback mechanisms, evaluations, and performance metrics.
- Be the service point of contact for employees seeking guidance on training and development opportunities.
In addition, ideally you will have a proven track record of working as part of a dedicated team and be effective in managing competing priorities and workloads, responding quickly and appropriately to changing needs and be able to demonstrate excellent organisation and influencing skills.
