Job Introduction
We are looking for a Progression Coordinator to support our PMLD department
The Vine is a department with over 50 Learners with Complex needs and behaviours that can challenge. We deliver a varied Curriculum to meet each of our learners' individual needs in line with their EHCP's. Our highly skilled team takes pride in developing our learners' personal and preparation for adulthood skills to prepare them for their future life. We have strong emphasis on working as a team, offering mutual support and flexibility while striving for the highest standards for our learners. Our ultimate goal is to enable our learners to become as independent as possible and lead a happy fulfilled life.
Main Responsibilities
- You will have a case load of learners with EHCPs. You will co-ordinate their annual reviews.
- Providing excellent communication and act as the day to day contact between the college and partners (e.g. schools, LA, Social Workers, transport).
- You will work closely with the curriculum and support strands.
- You will develop and put in place robust transition plans.
- Liaise with the college and external agencies to plan interviews and secure student placements and / or destinations.
- Support in the preparation of promotional materials and attend relevant events to represent the College and promote our offer.
- Experienced professional with a experience of working with SEND / High Needs learners
- Able to work with students of all ages and abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to use Microsoft / Google packages including (word, excel, outlook, google docs)
- Up to date knowledge of the policies around SEND / High Needs learners.
- GCSE English and Maths at a Level 2/grade C or equivalent
- Strong administrative skills
- Ability to work as a pro-active and supportive member of the team
