We employ more than 40,000 people and deliver more than 1.2 billion passenger journeys across 13 European countries every year. **About the role** As our HR Coordinator, you will help ensure a full HR service is provided to Arriva’s group corporate functions, including recruitment, employee engagement, reward, performance management, talent development and employee relations. You will work proactively with the HR Business Partners and line managers to ensure a positive experience, delivered in line with agreed SLAs. You will provide support to the recruitment process, such as preparing contractual documentation for all new starters, transfers and leavers. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Maintain the HR team’s shared inbox, responding to queries from line managers relating to our policies, procedures or practices in a proactive and timely manner - Act as a key expert on our HR systems (Workday and Avature) and be the first point of contact for queries relating to Employee and Manager Self service - HR data collation and producing team KPI metrics for sharing with senior leaders and Arriva’s HR Directors - Provide ad hoc support for key HR initiatives through the year (examples include pay and bonus review, objective setting and performance review, employee engagement survey, talent review, holiday purchase scheme, and line manager training/workshops). - Maintain electronic personnel files and records of personal data (payroll, personal information, starters, leavers, ad hoc reports) on SharePoint and ensure all employment and data management requirements are met. - Assist in payroll preparation by providing data to the relevant payroll teams. - Produce adhoc reports as requested by heads of function and or HRBPs. - Contribute to continuous improvement with the HR function and processing efficiencies and willing to share ideas. - Assist in ad-hoc HR projects as required to meet the needs of the business. **About you** You can demonstrate experience in HR administration and/or coordination roles within a busy HR team. Good working knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office O365, including Word, Excel & PowerPoint will be required. You are confident with operating systems, compiling and manipulating data, producing digital packs and presenting to the business any key patterns and trends. Workday or other HR system experience would be highly desirable, including working knowledge of recruitment processes. Aside from the above, you are passionate about HR and able to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive can-do attitude.
