HR Assistant

**We are currently looking for a HR Assistant to join our growing HR team on a 6 month fixed term contract.**
Reporting to the Head of People & Capability this role will have varied accountability to deliver high quality HR & operational administrative support for our UK team. With strong communication and organisation skills the role holder will naturally take on responsibility when both big and small tasks need to be done, helping to drive a focused, exciting & ambitious team culture. The role will be based in Sunderland, providing support to our team across the UK.
This role would have a variety of administrative and coordination responsibilities including the following:
**Human Resources**:
Provide professional, accurate and timely HR administration support across the employee life cycle including supporting recruitment, onboarding, induction, probation, employee records, benefits, absence and leave, MI & statistics, leavers, maintenance of policies, procedures and templates.
**Office Management**:
Create an office environment that is an organised, presentable, safe and welcoming environment for employees, clients, and guests. Support team communication including coordinating team building ideas and events and lead on office administration processes i.e. book approved company travel & accommodation, purchase office supplies, maintaining H&S & equipment records.
**Engagement**:
Assist in the co-ordination of employee engagement events, social and marketing activities and be the face of Infostretch when involved in local initiatives, working with other local business, schools and council led programs.
**Essential Education & Experience**:
Extremely strong MS Office experience, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
Outlook, Sharepoint
Experience of working within a role that delivered excellent internal or external customer service.
Confidence in creating professional documents including letters, forms, procedures, reports and data records.
Experience of processing, manipulating, analysing and reporting on numerical data.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to understand people and collaborate with local and global colleagues across all levels of the organisation.
- Proactive, self-motivated and flexible with a ‘can do’ attitude that can problem solve to take forward tasks and responsibilities without daily supervision.
- Highly organized with the ability to multitask. Evidence of working with a sense of structure and time planning to prioritise a varied workload and deliver outcomes on time.
- Highly dependable with a strong work ethic.
- Possesses good judgment and tact with the ability to identify when to maintain confidentiality of HR and financial records.
- The desire to work and grow within an exciting and ambitious organization.
**Desirable**:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in HR or Business Management.
- Working towards CIPD
