**ROLE SUMMARY**
The Business Analytics & Insights (BAI) Lead for Developed Markets (DM) is accountable for leading a global team of colleagues based in and supporting the developed markets in North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific regions as well as partnering with Biopharma country and category leadership to understand strategic business needs, frame key issues and interface with Business Insights functional areas, and other functions across Pfizer, to ensure delivery of high quality services to these markets. The BAI DM Lead must be a proactive and strategic thought partner, strong people leader, outstanding project manager and organizational change agent. The developed markets have great potential to fuel Pfizer growth over the next five years, with multiple product launches to be supported over this period. This role will work with Country leadership and BAI Global BU teams to appropriately prepare for these critical product launches as well as support the in-line product portfolio in these markets.
Reporting to the Vice President of BAI, the Global BAI DM Lead will be responsible for setting a vision and providing day-to-day leadership and supervision for a large, global team of colleagues within BAI.
**Strategic Thought Leadership**:
- Serve as strategic, analytic advisor to the DM Country Leads and senior leaders within these markets as well as the Regional Presidents for various categories in Pfizer’s Biopharma organization.
- Develop a knowledge of and distinct focus on assigned Biopharma developed markets and the BUs within these markets and maintain executive level lines of engagement to deliver core insights.
- Proactively engage and act as the lead thought partner to identify and deliver analytics solutions that address country needs and ensure BAI solutions are aligned to and support the key strategic issues for the developed markets, BUs and Pfizer.
- Drive knowledge management, consistent delivery of BAI services, and identify and maximize cross-market and cross-category synergies.
- Accountable for the local support in a ‘GLocal’ (Global to Local) structure, ensuring the BAI DM organization partners effectively with the respective Global BAI BU teams (teams responsible for global category analytics services).
- Serve as an active member of the BAI leadership team, to advance Pfizer’s analytics strategy to deliver competitive advantage. This includes holding all teams within BAI accountable for maintaining a seamless operating model between the various BAI teams, with strong connectivity and cross-team collaboration and communications.
- Build and sustain strong collaborative working relationship across BAI and Pfizer.
- Build and foster effective external relationships and influence to help ensure analytics drives competitive advantage for Pfizer.
- Negotiate budget, service levels, and operating plan with regional and country leaders.
- Define key performance measures and benchmarks and develop methods for tracking to ensure continuous improvement.
**Lead an Engaged and Motivated Team**:
- Lead global teams of leaders and colleagues (North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific regions), and be accountable for $6M budget and appropriate resource allocation.
- Set group vision as well as lead and supervise a team of highly motivated and skilled professionals while being the executive interface for the commercial team across BAI.
- Foster an environment and culture that is characterized by high performance, impactful work, strong engagement, customer focus, innovation and pride.
- Proactively work to identify and encourage career development opportunities that will support the professional development goals of each team member.
- Provide leadership, mentoring and development guidance to BAI members; ensuring effective leadership and development throughout the BAI function.
- Develop and maintain processes, tools, and training to support colleagues to ensure professional development and advancement.
**BASIC QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Extensive strong multi-discipline experience, with a preference for exposure to analytics, marketing, sales and/or operations, and/or organizational development, as well as experience in the pharmaceutical industry, management consulting, investment banking and/or strategy.
- B.A. / B.S. required; advanced degree in relevant discipline desirable (e.g. MA/MS/MBA/Ph.D.).
- Experienced leader with prior experience leading a regional or global team including management of virtual based or internationally dispersed colleagues and leaders.
- Demonstrated business, Developed Markets and therapeutic area acumen as well as the capability to interact with all levels of the organization in a professional and discrete manner.
- Strong strategic, conceptual and analytical thinking combined with the ability to lead and build relationships with key stakeholders to quickly understand business strategies, identify analytics needs and build effective solutions.
