This is a new and exciting opportunity for a business analyst to power the growth of a market-leading, Trade Finance digitisation company through the development and enhancement of its flagship product Galileo This techno functional role will be part of the product team and responsible for creating and maintaining the specifications for existing and new Company messages, product configurations and business rules and third-party integrations. Holder of this rolewould be working closely with Product managers, business analysts, developers and testing team and to support the delivery of products. For this role, our client is looking for a genuine tech oriented individual who would be keen to understand the business domain and product functionality. This is an exciting and challenging role for someone wanting to consider a future in business analysisand product management. **Key Responsibilities**: - To design, implement and document Company message specifications, business rules, form field mappings according to agreed business logic using 3rd party tools (no major coding but technical skills needed) - To work with Product Managers / Owners to create detailed requirements for implementation by Agile software delivery teams - To contribute to the creation and upkeep of the Product Requirements Backlog - To assist the Product Managers make decisions during the delivery process including contributing to planning and refinement sessions - To create and run the backlog for specific Company product delivery projects and feature introduction, support by the Company Product Owner / Manager as required - To interpret client needs, assess the full requirements, and identify solutions or required modifications to existing product design. - To Support the product roadmap and plans, working with development to control the product delivery work capacity. - To support delivery excellence for the products to maximise and optimise contributions over the product life cycle. - Being part of Agile Development project teams, working on one or more projects in parallel **Skills and Experience (E)ssential, (D)esirable**: - Knowledge of software development tools: - Altova Mapforce (D) - Altova Stylevision (D) - Knowledge and experience of using/creating: - **XML/XPATH/XSLT (E)**: - **Basic knowledge of writing basic database SQL queries(E)**: - **XSDs, DTDs (E)** - **Experience working with Agile development methodologies such as Kanban/Agile (E**) and tools such as Jira and Confluence (D) issues - **Excellent communicator, both written and verbal. Ability to articulate requirements and clearly and concisely with both on-shore and off-shore Development Teams (E)**: - **Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to listen effectively and the ability to present oneself in a calm, professional manner whilst under time and schedule pressure (E)**: - **Excellent analytical and problem solving skills (E)**: - **Team player. Comfortable working in a small company environment and "hands-on" in the sense of doing what needs to be done in a small organisation (E)**: - **Fluent English (E),** any other languages a bonus but not essential to role (D)
