Exeter, United Kingdom Powderham Castle Full time

**Title** Event Production Assistant
**Reporting** Head of Events and Weddings
**Salary ** £20,000 - £22,500
**Location **The Estate Office, Powderham Castle

**Role Objective**The primary objective of the Event Production Assistant is to support the bookings and delivery of events at Powderham. You will be joining our growing Events team, working closely with the Events Manager and Head of Events and occasionally providing support to our functions team.

This role is an operational one, working on outdoor event sites through the year. From supervising and supporting safe working practices at our largest festivals, to site management and build/break of our own in-house productions. You will be assisting the team ensuring all of our events are safe and enjoyable for visitors. The role will require evening and weekend working through all the seasons of the year - therefore a hardy can do approach and attitude is essential to success

Your main contribution will be to take part in organising event logistics, planning entertainment schedules, liaising with traders and suppliers, and monitoring ticket sales. We want to ensure the grounds and buildings at Powderham are well cared for, and so the pack down of an event and tidy-up is just as crucial as the set up and launch. Between events and activities, you will be working within the office to support event administration, making arrangements with clients and ensuring great communication with the rest of the Powderham team.

Powderham hosts a variety of events throughout the year, from festivals and concerts, theatre productions, physical endurance, wellbeing retreats and many more. No event is the same and we are proud to run an accessible and inclusive events venue. In recent years, we have developed several in-house events, coordinated, and managed by our events team - you will be a crucial part of this success and help grow what we can do in-house.

We keep our values of Community, Inclusivity, Sustainability, Adventure and Authenticity at the core of everything we do, we’re looking for someone who shares these, and can find the opportunities to incorporate all of them in their work.

- Support the Events Managers in production and delivery of events
