This varied role is responsible for delivering Higher Education related activities and supporting relevant committee and working group meetings.

As part of the Professional Standards Team, you will also work with other colleagues to provide timely and accurate advice to partner organisations ensuring that processes are well-documented and working efficiently. You will need to be comfortable communicatingwith all stakeholders both face-to-face and virtually. You will also need excellent writing skills to produce reports, papers etc.

This role requires a high level of enthusiasm and commitment and in return you will benefit from opportunities to gain experience and knowledge across a range of higher education activities.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

- Planning and supporting meetings.
- Tracking developments in higher education, apprenticeships and skills
- Providing briefings to professional staff and volunteers as required
- Producing content for external communications.
- Attending meetings.
- Working with colleagues to support engagement with international partners.
- Answering enquiries, some of which may be complex.
- Contributing to the development and implementation of standards, processes and guidance.

You will also give secretariat support including planning, organising and providing the secretariat for meetings.

Skills and experience needed include:

- Ability to work on own initiative
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a range of internal and external contacts.
- Good IT skills including use of databases and MS Office
- Excellent organisational skills, including being able to prioritise activities.
- Ability to produce quality written documentation including reports, minutes, papers etc with high attention to detail.
- Ability to organise meetings, visits and workshops and provide secretariat, including producing papers and minutes.
